Title: University In Shrewsbury?

feelthefiya - July 19, 2004 02:03 AM (GMT)
Hello, I recently participated in the Shrewsbury International Music Festival. I'm from California, and I loved Shrewsbury, and I'm interested in studying in the UK next fall. Does Shrewsbury have a university? If not, where is the nearest university? Thanks a lot!

No, Shrewsbury does not have a university - in fact there isn't one in Shropshire. The nearest universities are at Chester, Wolverhampton, Stafford, Keele (near the town of Newcastle-upon-Lyme), Birmingham and Aberystwith (which is on the Welsh coast). It's irritating not having a uni here, I know..

hey thanks so much. We went to Chester while we were in England, too. I liked that place too, what is the school called?

Its a shame there is not a university in Shropshire.

I think this is the correct web site address for the University College Chester http://www.chester.ac.uk/.

You can request a prospectus from their web site for more information on courses.
