Shuts of Shrewsbury No 17 - Peacock Passage

High Street - Princess Street

This passage, named after a pub that once was nearby (the "Peacock"), runs between High Street and Princess Street. We start on High Street, opposite to where Bank Passage runs down from Fish Street. I call this passage the "Aga Passage" sometimes and you can see why in the first photo.



The passage runs through to Princess Street on the other side and emerges opposite where College Hill starts.



From here the Golden Cross Passage is to the right of the photo and Phillip's Passage, were it not built over in the 1970s :angry: , would be to the left of the photo. Hopefully when Princess House is (eventually) redeveloped the passage can be re-instated.
