Lady Berwick from Attingham Park died in a horrific car crash after having lunch at the Mytton and Mermaid.
The national trust at the park state that this happened in 1972,I dont know why but I have a nagging doubt that it was later about 1976.
Whilst I realise I will almost certainly be proven wrong on this can somone please confirm what is stated at Attingham.

The reason I have queried this date is I believe I can remember serving this lady when I served petrol in 1975 obviously I am wrong but usually I am very good on dates.
