Title: Mayflies

Town_Walls - May 25, 2010 05:48 PM (GMT)
Never seen so many mayflies on the river in town as there have been in the last few days. Loads by the Boathouse and along Smithfield Road, and quite a few caught in cobwebs at the station. It's a nice sight.

Walked along Doctor's fields recently and one landed on my back!
Had a Damselfly in the garden a few days ago which was surprising as we haven't a pond.

I saw a funny cartoon which showed a worm doctor saying to his mayfly patient:

QUOTE
'The good news is you only have the 24 hour bug...the bad news is you're a mayfly.'
:D

I like the one on the computer. You can imagine a Mayfly on Amazon somehow!

Very moving,

You don't hear poetry like 'flyff penya' and 'maple story mesos' often enough these days.

Shrewsbury's mayflies have national profile! Photo on the left taken at Welsh Bridge in May 2010.
