It seems a majority of people no longer trust any politicians whatever the party they represent. i think its time to think of a completely new fairer system......

I got canvassed this evening! Very exciting. Standing on my doorstep at 6pm, talking to a fragrant Tory woman. And I thought that doorstep canvassing was something that only happened to other people.

Vote Labour? Hell no, still, non of the other options seem overly attractive, so it comes down to for me a simple case of lesser of the evils, I have already cast my vote...

I tell you what, I felt arkward, because to be honest, conservatives I really don't like, but I non too keen on the scrapping of trident... but hell I was not voting for any of the minority candidates or as I say - Labour!

Out of the two left, well I will keep to myself what I actually voted, but lets say this, neither option filled me with confidence...

The usual gaggle of party activists at the polling station this morning to look at the number on my polling card. But what really annoyed me was an exaggerated "THANK YOU!" from one of them as I walked out of the school hall, having just done the cross-drawing business.

Why don't you pat me on the head and give me a sweetie while you're at it? I don't need some moustachioed harpy thanking me for voting. What's it got to do with you?

Haha, very annoying... yes I voted!

Thankfully, that Gaggle was not at my polling station, just an advert for an indepent candidate candidate... who was not getting my vote... heck, I hadn't even heard of the guy!

So, that's it then, for a little while perhaps.

I wasn't canvassed - the dogs were disappointed. I had leaflets from all the parties except the Greens.

Some criticism I see in the press against Brown for not resigning. He can't really. The old government has to carry on until a new one takes over.

According to the BBC if the outcome of a General Election is inconclusive, "it is for the political parties to determine who should form the next administration, and to communicate that choice to Buckingham Palace.

Only then will the Queen receive any outgoing prime minister to accept his resignation and, a short time later, to invite someone else to take his place."

The horse trading has already started.....
