Both the PRH and the RHS are vital hospitals. They both have large catchment areas serving areas outside the immedate locale of the hospital.

Shropshire is the biggest landlocked county in England and as the cover a large area (including much of Mid Wales in the case of the RSH) how on earth do the people making these propoaals think that the system will cope? Or do they hope to export the problem by using the voluntary air ambulance service to bypass the overcrowded A&E at the RHS to ship road accident victims from -say- Telford or Shifnal to Birmingham or Coventry?

That way they can claim that the A&E service is holding up, whilst basically stealing services and funds from the voluntary air ambulance and from other health authorities!
