Description: where are they..

Greeting all,

We're researching our family history and come up with a reference to "Medlicott's Buildings" in Shrewsbury. The reference was in parish church registars for the "Independant Chapel of Shrewsbury".. wherever that was. Does anybody know anything about either of these places? We'd be really interested to hear from you.

Looking at the 1871 census, and also some old maps online, I think the Medlicott buildings were near the top of Pride Hill, somwhere close to what is now WH Smith.

My friend is a Medlicott,he claims that the family originated from the parish of Medlicott I believe is in south shropshire.
There have certainly been branches of that family in shropshire and the welsh borders.
