The second highest pay packet was secured by Robin Hooper, the former chief executive of SABC. His total renumeration exceeded £ 335,000 including £10,000 compensation for having his earnings made public.

Gordon Brown was paid £187,000 last year.

Remember Robin Hooper cost us £200,000 when he was backed by various SABC councillors in an attempt to stop the unitary authority going ahead. Hooper said it would cost SABC £50,000 but the judicial review eventually cost four times that much with only one other council supporting SABC with any financial backing. Not forgetting as well the public referendum which cost us £100,000 too. :angry:

This is the council that has just patted itself on the back at cost of a mere £15,500 of our money not counting the cost of those councillors that have been made aldermen at £4,000 per head. Oh and a theatre that was paid for from selling off our council housing stock and is now architecturally a laughing stock.
At least I can get a cheap ticket if I have one of the seats where you cannot see the stage !

It means they've got away with it. So so corrupt but hey who cares? :angry:
