Title: Burr's Field
Description: body found

lemon squeezer - January 14, 2009 02:11 PM (GMT)
I was taking the dog out this morning and the police had taped off the footpath at the end of Luciefelde Road going down to Burr's field adjacent to the area where some fabulous looking houses are proposed.
My first thoughts were that perhaps a homeless person had died in the what had turned out to be a very cold night.
I think I must have guessed correctly as I saw them bringing a body out on my way back.
I am glad I didn't go earlier for my walk and find whoever it was myself to be honest.
It seemed a very sad start to the day.
The river actually had ice flows on it this morning too.

I'm sorry if that sounded mysterious but it is a very upsetting situation.

This wouldn't have anything to do with Aimee Parkes would it?

Sorry Conna, I have only just seen your post.
No it is not Aimee Parkes, I hope that puts your mind at rest if you know her.
Thankyou so much for the message Stargirl, yes I think it must be the same incident I saw yesterday.
My son was a close friend of the girl who has sadly committed suicide and everyone is very distraught.

I can't tell you how awful this is for my son and his friends. She went to the place that was their special place and where they had good times.
They were not welcome in the town, moved on all the time and so found their own pitch which wll now never be the same again. It is terribly sad and I feel extremely sorry for the walker who found her.

I've been on this forum for years, been a right moaner , controversial, had a few spats but never thought it would give me the feeling of support I have felt and needed today.

Thank you for the message Chris.

So tragic and I'm sorry for the grief you and your Son are going through Lemon. How must her family be feeling at this time I wonder. Lets hope she is in that better place and free from pain.
