just wondered what everyone else thought about the current housing market in shrewsbury at the mo. i know what the media keep tellin us but i wondered what real people thought.
we would like to sell our barn at the mo and move more into town but we can see nothing really is moving much.
also which estate agents would you reccommend?? or not!!! :D

I have a friend who lost her husband in tragic circumstances. She has decided to sell up and move.

She had one viewer for her house who put in an offer which my friend did not accept the same woman then came back and put in a better offer and she has accepted it.
She found a semi detached over looking the golf course in Belle Vue she liked but it went with about four people after it, as did a detached further up the same road.
She has seen somewhere in Underdale but as it is only on road parking I think she is being foolish personally. I would not buy anything without parking it can ruin your life!

From talking to her I got the impression that in Shrewsbury the housing market is tottering along fairly well.

It's very much a buyer's market at the moment if they have the cash available. I know somebody who accepted an offer over £15,000 below the asking price because they wanted a quick sale and they had a cash buyer.

A lot of people sell their houses over the internet now to cut out the middle man...makes sense to me!

yes that is true...i had looked at a few website that do that but not done anything about it.
but if anyone out there wants to buy a lovely barn conversion in a sought after village location??? huge gardens etc!! he he :D
