Title: Wellington Market
avronb - March 23, 2007 09:44 AM (GMT)
I had occasion to visit Wellington market yesterday and i must say it must be the best market in the county, you name it they are selling it,and all on the same level, unlike Shrewsbury market with its lifts that are never working.Wellington seems to be fighting its way back as a shopping town, and a good alternative to that so called town centre of theirs, free parking in Wellington too!.

I agree - the Wellington market does seem to be the best in Shropshire.

I've never been, does it have a good fishmonger like Shrewsbury?

I agree - Wellington has a cracking good market with an amazing diversity of traders. It is well worth browsing the outdoor stalls too, where there is also an excellent coffee shop which serves a good choice of reasonably priced food.
A visit to Wellington Market is a very pleasing experience where there is a pleasant atmosphere and truly 'something for everyone'.

I haven't been to Wellington market for years but I remember it was first rate with the added bonus of free parking nearby.

Can you walk there easily from the Train station? i'm not sure where it is.

From what I remember, you walk up the road from the station, turn left into Church Street, and then cross the road into Market Street - a couple of hundred yards perhaps.

I've never been either but going on the above comments it's sounds well worth visiting. I might give look this weekend.
